In Horax, the cities are clean, the streets are wide, and the Uriles flow like water. However, very few people take the time to appreciate the city, since they either live there, or they only come for the technology-it's a shame. All of that dedication, all of that research, making people's lives more comfortable, and people only ever come to buy guns.
If you're wise like myself, you'll steer clear of those people, and try and enjoy all the benefits that Horax has produced; my sister is still alive today thanks to the Horax Charitable Hospice. If you absolutely must spend every Urile you have on weaponry, don't do what Heiferstein did; buy from reputable sources, only pay when you have the gun in your hand, and bring some help.
Totally ruined my holiday, that man.

PaciTech Defense Solutions; they've got a defense? We've got a solution.
So, you need a gun? A tank? A tactical warhead? PaciTech were the first company to be established after the fall, and are the leading manufacturer of high-grade weaponry and vehicles in the Midlands. Using the Uriles business generates to power the shiny factories that produced the mass-produced factory armaments. From turrets to tanks and from pistols to powered armour, there is nothing their factories do not buld-and if there is, PaciTech accept commissions for special orders.
PaciTech, despite being a faceless corporation, are surprisingly well-moraled. They always ask the reason for purchase and keep details on their purchasers, what little good they are. They are renowned for refusing to provide weapons for Tribal Raids, strongly adverse to slavery, and pay generous wages. Some speculate that they have the secret of Urile manufacture, but there is one public announcement that really unnerves the other city-states.
The Horax Army, a volunteer service of professionals formed into a hard-hitting military force, are provided with armaments by PaciTech, who provide training, armament, and intelligence-indeed, many other cities refuse to buy from PaciTech in bulk in protest of the Horax Army Contracts, but this means little to PaciTech. The current head of PaciTech, Richard Hammers, has made several public announcements about reinforcing the power of the Horax Army, and is one of the lead advertisement faces of the Army.
Incidentally, he is also the richest man in the entirety of the known world. His most prestigous achievement, he says, is the ongoing Atlantis project, and while no details have come to light it is claimed that he will conquer the waves-of course, any sensible person knows that the very idea of getting anything but twigs to float is utterly ridiculous. Boats? Really, for a man of such influence, he is a fool.
Now, Clarkson, really? Was it that bad?
Yes.
